Outstanding instrumental metal album that happens to pay tribute to FFVII. While some of the songs would pretty clearly lend themselves to great metal covers (Bombing Mission, The Chase, Let The Battles Begin), I was most impressed by how much some of the deeper cuts (eg. Mako Reactor) came to life as ripping headbangers. There’s not a weak track on here and the chronological arrangement further complements my enjoyment of the album. Highly recommended.

This whole album is solid VGM gold from start to finish, but the Mario Land track is especially fun and the Chrono Trigger track gives me chills every time. Worth the price for just those alone.

This album is just too good for its own good. This is what happens when 5 amazing musicians come together and magic is made. We're all extremely lucky to have this entire album, but From the Earth to the Moon is bloody brilliant in particular. B-)
